Disciple Groups · 15 Campuses

We walktogether.

We aren't meant to do life alone. Church is not an event to attend, but a family to belong to. Disciple Groups is a place to discover community and deepen your relationship with Jesus week in and week out.

Fall Discover Groups

New to groups? Start Monday, October 26.

Meet with your campus pastor, see what a disciple group is like, and get connected. Discover Groups meet Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8pm, October 26 through November 16, at every campus.

The DefinitionA working theology

A disciple group is a group of people committed to knowing Jesus and making Him known - together.

Disciple Groups gather together to meet new people, discuss the weekly sermon, read God's Word and pray for one another. This is the church as one, big dysfunctional family on display.

Four MarksOf every group

Four pillars.

I

Gospel-Centered

Our groups are rooted in the authority and truth of God's Word. That means we are going to study the Bible, hold it in authority, and learn through the lens of Jesus Christ every time we gather.

II

Multiplying

We want to be a church that raises up leaders rooted in the gospel. Groups are a way we multiply the movement by training leaders and launching new groups out of existing, healthy disciple groups.

III

Mission-Focused

We want our groups to live on mission to make the name of Jesus known from neighbors to nations. This is the mission we have been called to and groups are the front lines of making disciples.

IV

In Community

Real life with real people. We are created for relationship. This is a place for you to be the real you as you walk alongside others who point you to Jesus.

For All PeopleIn person or online

All of our groups
are for all people.

We do not sort you by who you are or what you are into. No matter your stage of life, your past or current circumstances, or how long you have been a Christian, there is something you can receive from a group and something you can offer it. There are two ways a group meets.

01

In-Person

Groups gather through the week in homes, on campuses, in businesses and throughout the community. You meet new people, discuss the weekly sermon, read God's Word and pray for one another.

02

Online

Groups that meet only through a virtual platform. These are primarily for people who do not live near one of our campuses and still want the sermon-based curriculum, prayer with others, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Where they meet

Homes, campuses, businesses and other places around the community. The group finder sorts by location, so you can pick one close to where you already live.

How often

Most groups meet weekly for 10 to 15 weeks. Fall and spring trimesters usually run 15 weeks. Summer is shorter, around 10 weeks.

Childcare

Some groups host childcare at the home, with the families splitting the cost. Each campus also has one night a week with an on-campus group that offers childcare.

Trying one out

Visiting is normal. If a group does not feel like a place you can grow, come at least three times before you decide, then let us know and we will help you find another one.

07 / Ready To Lead?

You don't need
a seminary degree.

You need a heart that loves Jesus, a willingness to open your home, and the humility to learn as you go. We'll train you, support you, and send you. The harvest is plentiful - but the workers are few.

Still
wondering?

The fastest path through hesitation is a conversation. Email us or stop by the Connect Center on the weekend.

01What does a typical group look like?+
A group meeting weekly in a home. A meal, a passage from Sunday's sermon or the current book, real conversation, and prayer. Our ideal roster is 15 for men's and women's groups and 20 for mixed groups.
02What types of disciple groups do you offer?+
We offer men's, women's, mixed and 1825 (18 to 25 years of age) groups. The Church of Eleven22 is a movement for all people, so all of our groups are for all people. No matter your stage of life, past or current circumstances and length of time being a Christian, there is something you can receive and offer to the group.
03How do I find one?+
Use the group finder at my.coe22.com/find-a-group. Filter by location, life stage, and meeting night. Visit two or three before you commit - that's normal and expected.
04What if I don't know anyone?+
Most people don't on the first night. Within a month, you'll have a phone full of new numbers. By six months, you'll wonder how you lived without them.
05I'm not ready to lead. Is that okay?+
Totally. Just show up and grow. We'll never push you. But if the Lord ever stirs that in you, we'll be ready to train and send you.
06What if my group doesn't click?+
It happens. Talk to your leader, give it a full trimester, and if it's not the right fit - we'll help you find one that is. No hard feelings.
