Beach Baptism Parking & Shuttle

We expect over 10,000 people to celebrate Beach Baptism, and Hanna Park’s parking lots just can’t fit that many cars. That’s why we’re providing three offsite parking lots with free shuttle service to the beach! We are asking everyone—those getting baptized, serving, or celebrating—to park at one of the offsite lots.

Shuttle Service Times

Shuttles will run continuously from 10am – 7pm.
Our large, air-conditioned coach buses have plenty of room for you and your family! Grab lunch on your way, or purchase something from one of the food trucks at the offsite lot before hopping on the bus and heading to the beach!

Arriving at the Beach

Many people arrive shortly after shuttle service begins at 10am and spend the day enjoying the beach before the baptisms start. If you’re getting baptized, walk from your bus to the Participant Check-in Tent to register and pick up your wristband and T-shirt.

While we will be providing free water and additional restrooms at the beach, there will not be any food available for purchase inside Hanna Park, nor will there be free food offered at the offsite parking lots.

Baptisms are tentatively scheduled to begin between 2:00-2:30, but weather may require us to start earlier or later than initially planned. It’s best just arrive as early as possible and be ready for baptisms whenever they start.

If you are traveling with elderly family members, we have specialized wheelchairs designed for use on sand for anyone who might need them. Wheelchairs can be used to assist people to and from the beach, but they cannot stay with you for the duration of the event – they must be returned so the next person can use them.

Returning To Your Car

Simply return to the same place you were dropped off at to catch a ride back to your offsite lot. You are free to leave as soon as your baptism is done, but we’d love for you to stay and celebrate with us until the last person is dunked!

Is EVERYONE parking at the offsite lots?

YES! To avoid gridlock in the park, we are requiring everyone (those getting baptized, those serving, and those coming to celebrate) to park at one of our two offsite lots.

What if it rains?

This is Florida and sometimes it rains a bit in the afternoon. We will do baptisms, rain or shine, as long as it is safe to do so. (It’s not a bad idea to bring an umbrella or poncho just in case.) In the event that weather becomes severe, we will adjust as follows:

If the weather looks bad all day: Beach Baptism may be canceled.
We will make announcements during morning services in addition to communicating updates via email, text, and websites.

If the weather looks bad later in the day: We will start baptisms earlier than planned.
We will communicate updates via email, text, and websites.

If the weather is bad but will clear up later in the day: We will delay baptisms and start later than planned.
We will communicate updates via email, text, and websites.
