Holiday Serve Opportunities

We as a church family are joining efforts with our local partners to live life on mission this holiday season by serving those in need in our community. We encourage you to check out all of the holiday serve opportunities below and sign up to serve. Let's be a blessing to others and love our neighbors well!

Christmas Kettle Counters

Serve with The Salvation Army to count the funds collected in the Christmas Red Kettles. Salvation Army will be counting at the Area Command Board Room 2nd Floor located at 328 North Ocean Street. Minimum age is 18. Send Salvation Army an email to sign up.

Mondays - Fridays from November 29 - December 23.
Mondays: 8–11:30am and Tuesdays – Fridays: 8-10:30am

Christmas Meal for the Homeless

Join City Rescue Mission as they serve a Christmas meal to the homeless community, hand out supplies and donations and pray with them. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. To sign up, email Kimberly Crockett.

Shoeboxes of Love Donation

City Rescue Mission's Annual Shoeboxes of Love project is for individuals or groups looking to make a difference in the lives of the homeless this Christmas season. People come to CRM with little to nothing, so these shoeboxes are just a small way we can provide hope to those in need. Provide a Holiday Meal

Bless children in need with Seamark Ranch and provide a holiday meal for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. Meal size should serve 10 people at each home (4 homes). For more information and to arrange drop off date and time, please contact Terri Cooper.

Thanksgiving Food Baskets

With your support, BEAM, in partnership with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul-Beaches, will once again provide Thanksgiving Baskets to those in need in our beaches community. Each basket will contain non-perishable items that can be used to make a Thanksgiving meal AND a gift card that can be used to purchase a Thanksgiving turkey, ham or other main course.

Drop off baskets on November 15, 16, or 17 from 9am – 11am or 1pm – 3pm at St. Paul's Father Murphy Hall - 628 1st Ave. North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

Gift a Holiday Meal

This is a serve opportunity with The Arc Jacksonville to provide a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal to bless individuals with intellectual and developmental differences.

Meals are needed at all Arc locations: Downtown, Westside, and Group Homes. Meal size for each location to feed 20-25 people. Drop off date to be coordinated by emailing Sherry Carlin.

Goodie Bag Donations for Trunk or Treat

This an opportunity to donate and drop off filled candy goodie bags for The Arc Jacksonville's annual Truck or Treat Event on October 29. Email Shara Iley to sign up.

Donation of Holiday Themed Items

The Arc Jacksonville serves and advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences to achieve their full potential and to participate in community life. Individuals of all abilities enrich their communities and have quality options on how they live, learn, work and play.

Donation items needed: Fall themed, Thanksgiving themed, or Christmas themed candy and goodie bags and party supplies including balloons, banners, table toppers, party favors, etc.

Seamark Ranch White Christmas Donations

Seamark Ranch is collecting WHITE donated Christmas items such as: paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, Kleenex, detergent, Clorox wipes, cups, plasticware, dishwasher liquid, hand soap, bar soap, etc. Email Terri Cooper to sign up.

The Carpenter's Shop Center Trunk or Treat

The Carpenter's Shop is a faith based organization providing programs and services that empower and educate under-served children, youth and families so they can lead responsible, productive lives.
Come get dressed up in a costume on October 30th from 6-8 pm and have fun serving this community by handing out candy and facilitating games! Email Cheryl to sign up.

Angel Tree Christmas Gift

Angel Tree Christmas equips churches and organizations to serve incarcerated parents by providing a pathway for strengthening and restoring their relationships with their children and families. Angel Tree Christmas mobilizes local churches and community organizations to give hundreds of thousands of children a Christmas gift, the Gospel message and a personal message of love on behalf of their incarcerated parent.

After signing up, a gift assignment will be sent to each volunteer.

Christmas Meal Gift Cards

Angelwood Inc. assists families in caring for the special needs of their loved ones across their lifespan through a variety of programs suited to each person’s individual goals. They help children and adults with intellectual and developmental differences such as: Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Prader-Willi, or Spina Bifida.

Gift card amount needed: $50 for holiday meal
Gift cards for stores where meals may be purchased, such as Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Harvey's, Target, etc.

Drop off time: Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm between October 25 and December 1

Christmas Cards & Gift Cards for Seniors

Hart Felt ministry utilizes a network of community volunteers who provide free, non-medical services that help our frail seniors live independently and age in place. Our vision is a community where frail seniors no longer fear where and how they age. Join us in partnering with this organization to provide Christmas holiday cards and gift cards for seniors. Please create handmade Christmas cards and place a gift card inside of $25 to Walkmart, Winn-Dixie or Publix.

Holiday Meal Serving at Mission House

Mission House is the only day facility in Jacksonville to help meet the needs of people who are homeless at the Beaches through compassion, faith and programs designed to provide assistance at an individual level. Today, their number one goal is to assist people who are homeless get off the streets of the Beach and back to productive and self-sufficient lives. Let's partner together to serve the homeless community this holiday season!
You must register prior to serving. Kids ages 12-15yrs. can volunteer with an adult also volunteering. Ages 16 and over do not need to have an adult volunteering with them. Meal prep and serving volunteers must be 18 or older.

Thanksgiving Food Sorting and Boxing

Each year, The Salvation Army in Downtown Jacksonville plans to serve about 1,000 families with all of the food needed for a complete Thanksgiving meal. Local schools, businesses, and organizations will be collecting and donating canned food for them to package and distribute. Let's partner together to help sort the canned goods and prepare the food boxes to ensure every family receives a wholesome meal this Thanksgiving!

November 15-19 shifts from 8am - 4pm

Angel Tree Prep and Pack

Calling all elves! Join us with your holiday cheer and help Salvation Army prepare for their biggest day of the year. The Angel Tree program provides the opportunity for members of the community to provide donated gifts and necessities to local children and families in need for the holiday season. They hope to provide to 4,000+ children this year! Let's partner together to prepare for the Angel Tree children and families to be "adopted" by members of the community.

OneBlood Drive

As followers of Jesus, we have an impactful way to “love our neighbor” on Wednesday, October 20. Our nation is experiencing an extreme shortage of blood supply so we have partnered with OneBlood to welcome the Big Red Bus at some of our campuses. Everyone who donates will receive a wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening! Click on your home campus to see donation times.

Boys & Girls Club Great Futures Weekend

We are partnering with The Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida for The Great Futures Weekend November 18 - 20. It's three days of events, including the annual McKenzie's Run, designed to raise essential funds for Boys & Girls Clubs.

The Boys & Girls Clubs create opportunities for youth to reach their full potential by providing free after-school mentoring, tutoring and specialized academic programs across Northeast Florida.

Lutheran Social Services is receiving many Afghan allies who are being resettled right in our community. There are numerous ways that you can get involved! Serve Frontline Healthcare Workers - Family Friendly

We as a church family are providing meals and notes of encouragement for frontline healthcare workers from August through October. Join us by creating notes with words of encouragement and prayers, small signs or children's drawings! Please drop your notes off at the Connect Center at the campus nearest to you. The notes will be delivered to the healthcare workers along with meals weekly.

HerSong Meals

Each year, HerSong reaches hundreds of women who are victims of trafficking. We can help by providing meals for these women as they are entering a new phase of life. HerSong is asking for freezer meals for the safe homes. Meals should be placed in disposable aluminum pans and marked with the date prepared, content information (i.e. Lasagna, Chicken and Rice Casserole), baking time and temperature. Drive-thru Food Drive with Feeding Northeast Florida

Join us as we bless our community with a drive-thru food drive located at the Regency Square Mall (Food-Court side). This event takes place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. To sign up to serve please use the links below.

Serving the homeless population at Jax Beach one meal a day, they are seeking volunteers to make box lunches and drop them off to Mission House before noon on Mondays - Saturdays.

Seamark Ranch

Serve with Seamark during a dedicated Saturday Volunteer Project Day each month. They are seeking help in the school, stables, barn or garden, in the home such as cooking meals for the families as well as a variety of administrative functions. Volunteer project days are the second Saturday of each month through November.

Seamark Ranch will be collecting donated pantry items on December 11 from 9am-2pm at 3635 Seamark Ranch Rd., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Items needed include peanut butter and jelly, cereal, pop-tarts, canned soups, spaghetti sauce, pasta, macaroni & cheese, single wrapped snacks for school lunches, chips and cases of water.

Serve local foster families by providing freezer meals. Meals should be placed in disposable aluminum pans and marked with: the date prepared; contents (i.e. Lasagna, Chicken and Rice Casserole); baking time and temperature. The meals will be stored at One More Child and given to foster families who receive new placements, having court appointments.

Hadassah's Hope

Hadassah's Hope is a gospel-centered ministry reaching women working in strip clubs in and around Jacksonville, Florida. Hadassah's Hope is committed to ministering to women right where they are and pointing them to Jesus, who is our only hope. You can volunteer in many ways such as writing encouraging notes, providing meals, visiting the clubs and praying for the women there.
