Buried with Christ · Raised to New Life

GetBaptized.

Baptism is the public declaration that you belong to Jesus. It's loud, wet, and worth every minute of the wait.

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised, we too might walk in newness of life.”

- Romans 6:4
Plainly StatedWhat baptism is + isn't

What it is.
What it isn't.

Baptism IS
01

A public declaration.

When you go under the water, you're telling the world: I belong to Jesus now. It's a wedding-ring moment for your soul.

02

An act of obedience.

Jesus Himself was baptized. The first command of the Great Commission is to make disciples and baptize them. We're just doing what He asked.

03

A picture of the gospel.

Going under is burial with Christ. Coming up is resurrection with Him. The water preaches the gospel every single time.

04

For followers of Jesus.

Baptism is the second step, not the first. You trust Jesus first. Then you tell the world about it through baptism.

Baptism IS NOT
01

What saves you.

The water doesn't wash away sin - the blood of Jesus does. Baptism doesn't make you a Christian; it announces that you already are one.

02

A graduation.

It's not for the spiritually mature. The thief on the cross never got baptized. Baptism is for new believers, not finished ones.

03

A private moment.

Baptism is loud. It's witnesses. It's family. It's a celebration. If Jesus is worth following, He's worth declaring publicly.

04

Something to delay.

Throughout the New Testament, baptism happens immediately. Don't wait for a perfect moment. Today is the moment.

- Annual Tradition

The Atlantic.
A shore full of witnesses.

Once a year, we gather on a stretch of beach and baptize believers together in the ocean. Pastors waist-deep. Families cheering on the sand. The ocean as our font. There is nothing like it.

How It GoesClass → Story → Splash

Three steps.
No surprises.

01
Class

Take the baptism class.

A 20-minute conversation about what baptism is, what it means, and what to expect. Offered in person at every campus after services, or watch the on demand class online anytime.

02
Story

Write your story.

Share your before-and-after in a few sentences. We'll celebrate it on the day - and you'll have it written down to share for the rest of your life.

03
Splash

Get baptized.

Show up. Go under. Come up cheering. Whether it's the ocean at Hanna Park or the tank at your home campus, every baptism gets a standing ovation.

Every baptism is a story
of before and after.

Behind every person who steps into the water is a story of what God has done. We'd love for you to read them - and one day, to add your own.

06 / Common Questions

Ask us
anything.

Still have questions? We'd rather walk through them with you in person than answer them all here.

01How old do you have to be?+
Old enough to understand the gospel and personally trust Jesus. That looks different for different kids - we'd love to talk it through with you and your family.
02What do I wear?+
Dark colors are best. We provide a baptism t-shirt. Bring a towel and a change of clothes - you will be soaking wet.
03Can I share my story?+
Absolutely. We invite a sentence or two - your before and your after. Many baptisms include a short testimony on stage or on the sand.
04Do my family and friends come?+
Yes - please invite them. This is one of the most important moments of your life. Pack the place out.
05I was baptized as a baby. Should I be baptized again?+
If your infant baptism happened before you placed your own faith in Jesus, we'd encourage you to be baptized as a believer. We'd love to talk it through.
